Manufacturing Process
Overview
Raw Material Inspection
All incoming raw materials — scrap, ferro alloys, and other inputs — undergo strict inspection.
- Visual and chemical verification using Spectrometer & Gas Analyzer.
- Only approved materials move forward for melting, ensuring consistency in chemical composition.
Melting & Refining
- The raw materials are melted in medium-frequency induction furnaces under controlled conditions.
- Deoxidation, desulphurization, and inclusion control are achieved through refining.
- Ladle treatment ensures homogeneous temperature and chemistry.
Continuous Casting
- The molten metal is cast into billets through our CCM (Continuous Casting Machine).
- The process ensures uniform solidification and fine grain structure.
- Automated casting control eliminates surface and internal defects.
Hot Rolling Process
- The billets are reheated and passed through Hot Rolling Mills to form various sections.
- Online dimensional and temperature monitoring ensures precision.
- Controlled cooling enhances the mechanical properties of steel.
Finishing & Inspection
Materials are straightened, cut, polished, and inspected visually and dimensionally. Secure labeling and packaging ensure safe delivery to customers.
Quality Control Equipment & Capabilities
Our in-house Quality Control Laboratory is equipped with advanced instruments for mechanical, chemical, and physical testing.
Major Testing Equipment:
- Spectrometer: For precise chemical analysis.
- Gas Analyzer: To detect and control gas content (O₂, N₂, H₂).
- UTM (Universal Testing Machine – 40 Ton): For tensile, yield, and elongation tests.
- Impact Testing Machine (0J to 300J): For toughness and brittleness testing.
- Hardness & Microstructure Testers: For checking material strength and grain size.
All testing procedures comply with IS, ASTM, JIS, and DIN standards, ensuring that our products meet international benchmarks.
